Version 3.1 of the Periodic Table of Arguments is now available on this website as a clickable table. It extends the table of 42 with eight proposed argument types whose levers are not among the existing ones: the arguments from incompatibility, waste, possibility, reciprocity, converses and concession, and the argumentum ad ignorantiam and argumentum ad consequentiam. Each of them has its own page in the same format as the other types, and the alphabetical list now covers all fifty.
As in version 3.0, every tile in the table links to the page for that argument type, where you will find a worked example, its standardised form, a diagram of its triadic structure (conclusion, premise and lever), and a step-by-step classification in terms of argument form, argument substance and argument lever. The quadrant letters link to the overviews of the four quadrants, and the substance codes to the page on argument substance. The table is offered as a PDF, so the links work in the browser and in any PDF viewer once downloaded.
Suggestions for improvement, additional examples, and corrections are always welcome.
