Argument from derivatives

Ignoring the constitution would be ignoring our foundational beliefs, because the constitution forms our foundational beliefs.

Both the subjects and the predicates are different, so the argument form is gamma (a is X because b is Y): “Ignoring the constitution (a) would be ignoring our foundational beliefs (X) because the constitution (b) forms our foundational beliefs (Y)”.

The relationship between the subjects is identical to that between the predicates, so the substance is ‘i’.

The argument lever describes the semantic relationship between the subjects a and b and the predicates Y and X. It can thus be formulated as “The constitution (b) is DERIVATIVE of ignoring the constitution (a) and foundational beliefs (Y) is DERIVATIVE of ignoring our foundational beliefs (X)”.
